Hello Strangers!

First off: Hi, sorry I’ve not been around a lot recently… no new blog entries, no posting on TBF, etc.
It’s been a hectic few weeks. Two weeks till the Easter break with all the coursework deadlines for every subject coming up….
I had a final draft of my 20 page structured record due in for drama, and we’ve started a new project… and I’m with one of the people I worked with last time and she’s the one I can’t stand working with because she seriously thinks she’s better than me and everything she says has more value than anything I say. She treats me like a dirt and I can’t stand her… but I have to put up with it because the groups can’t really be changed now! BTW, the new project is editing Jim Cartwrights play ‘Road’ and making it our own, bringing out the themes we find interesting. Snore.
I also had my ME4 to complete.. And I still need to write up my Filmography and bibliography for that… should be doing it now, but oh well! Then there’s the music industry project we’re working on for Media… we’re trying to launch a band into the UK singles charts… they’re really just your average indie band, of which there are hundreds floating around trying to get their big break. If you wanna help then their single ‘I Can’t Dance’ should be available for download soon… it’s by The Codes.
And Film Studies… well, that’s the reason that I got home at 6pm tonight… FS4 is due in soon. All the filming should be done by this Friday… meaning we should have started a few weeks ago, but we kept getting let down by the actors we chose… so we only started filming today. We used a friend who’s actually in my drama class. In drama I’m usually quite submissive and quiet, so she was surprised to see me taking on the role of director and actually raising my voice and ordering people around!
But anyway, that’s going to mean a lot of staying after school to edit it all…. And I still haven’t got the foggiest how to use FinalCut Pro… and the new macs… the funky looking all-in-one things… the items on the screen start moving around if I squeeze the mouse which weirds me out a little, so I leave all the tech stuff to Emma, but she doesn’t listen to me so it never ends up how I want… I’ve had to threaten her so she actually listens this time!

So yes… all that and the fact that I’ve been really tired and technically ‘banned’ from the computer have all contributed to me not being around as much.
Don’t ask how I got banned… it just means I’m only allowed 15 minutes every night to spell check and print my work off, or do some research. I still have use of the laptop in my room, but that currently has no internet connection. Still working on getting wifi.

I’ve also decided to take a break from TBF for a while. I found that I wanted to post less and less as time went on… for reasons I’m not even really sure of. It ended up that I’d go on, check the first page of GD and decide there was nothing I wanted say in any of the threads that I could be bothered to look in… then I’d sit with the page open and forgotten about until I got of the computer. So I’m going to take a break from it for while, I may check in occasionally, or just lurk, but I don’t think I’ll be posting anything…. Not sure how long this will be for. And unlike Seri, I mean it! :P

Onto my third point… I didn’t give anything up for lent. Instead I took something up… Including Boosh quotes or references when talking to family… at least one a day. I only took this rather amusing challenge up on Sunday. When I got a Dixon Bainbridge style “Kit-Kat” into a conversation… WITH the hand gesture!
On Monday I got Vince’s “Basic back comb structure” into a conversation when talking about how to create a beehive.
Yesterday I got “Cheese is a type of meat. A tasty yellow beef” in when I was talking about making a sandwich.
They’re starting to think I’m more than a little weird… but who can blame them?

And finally… to finish off… because I don’t know how long it will be until I can get on again to post something on here… a little something for your entertainment.
Bill Bailey and his tribute to Kraftwerk…. The finale to his stage show Part Troll. Which was great.

1 of you love me!:

What do you mean Sparkly? Are you saying I have no self-control? LOL Of course I mean it. It's just an addiction. ;) But, I have to admit, I've done better than I thought. Not getting on till about 3 every day, then staying no more than 1/2 hour to an hour.

Since all you cool folk are leaving, I might as well stay away too. ;)

Good luck with all your school stuffs!
